Cadet Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

The Scottish Gliding Centre's Cadet Scholarship Scheme supports the development of young glider pilots by helping reduce the cost of learning to fly.

Established through the generosity of Club members, the Scheme provides financial assistance to a limited number of Cadets (Junior Members under the age of 18) who demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and potential.

The Scheme exists to encourage the long-term development of young pilots and future volunteers within the Scottish Gliding Centre.

The Scheme is normally limited to 10 Cadets (Junior Members under the age of 18) at any one time.

Once the Scheme is fully subscribed, further applications will be considered when places become available.

Scholarship places are reviewed periodically to ensure the Scheme continues to support members who demonstrate commitment and active participation.

Change of Circumstances

Scholarship holders should advise the Honorary Cadet & Junior Lead if there is any significant change in their circumstances which may affect their participation in the Scheme.
